Sagrada Familia is one of the most popular tourist sites not only in Barcelona but also in Europe. Visiting one of the best buildings of famous architect Antoni Gaudi is definitely worth. There is no wonder that almost thousands of people from all over the world come here to explore this iconic church.

However, while visiting or planning to visit the Sagrada Familia, every 7 out of 10 tourists happen to make some common mistakes which turn their visit into less enjoyable.

For your convenience and not to repeat all these mistakes during your visit, I listed here the 5 common mistakes that people usually do when they go to Sagrada Familia.

Not Booking in advance

As we all know that the Sagrada Familia is the most visited tourist site in Barcelona. But many of us don’t know that the queue for tickets at the ticket counter sometimes goes over a thousand people. Is this sound terrifying?? Yes. But there is no need to worry about the long people line up at the ticket counters if you booked the ticket in advance. Many people have a common question that by what duration we book the advance ticket for Sagrada Familia. The online tickets are available in two months of advance. I will recommend you to book the tickets at least 7–8 days before your visit.

Not taking a guided tour

To explore the Sagrada Familia in details and know all the secret meanings you should take a guided tour. You will be guided by a trained and professional guide through all your way in visiting Sagrada Familia. If you can’t afford a guided tour, then at least go for an audio-guided tour. Take a headphone with you to share your guided tour to some other person. Make sure to reach the destination before 15–20 minutes in order to meet your guided tour in a crowded place. Unfortunately, the tickets are not refundable if you will let.

Not visiting during sunset

The best time to visit Sagrada Familia is during the sunset hours. There is no doubt that the interior of Sagrada Familia gives a mesmerizing look at ant time of the day but when the direct sun rays reflect onto the stained glass, it gives a beautiful and magical vision of the Sagrada Familia and is the best reason to visit the Sagrada Familia. Not just that other places designed by Gaudi such as Park Guell, Casa Batllo are also as magical as a Sagrada. Gaudi used the mathematical formula for the perfect arrangement of the colorful windows.
